"People Making in a Changing World"
presented by Jean Houston, Ph.D.

Presentation Description: Jean Houston writes "In our time we have come to the stage where the real work of humanity begins. It is the time where we partner Creation in the creation of ourselves, in the restoration of the biosphere, the re-genesis of society and in the assuming of a new type of culture; the culture of Kindness. Herein, we live daily life reconnected and recharged by the Source, so as to become liberated and engaged in the world and in our tasks."

Objectives:

1.    Describe the connections between Virginia Satir teaching and the demands of today for ourselves and others at this time.

2.    Identify physical and mental skills as they relate to personal ability to be creative.

3.    Increase awareness in the possibilities and potential for self and our society in becoming more human. (Or as Virginia Satir used to say becoming more fully human.)

Teaching Method:

Using her ability for story telling, this presentation will have content as well as opportunity for small and large group interaction. As stated below in the description of Jean Houston, she will create an "environment in which transformation can take place."
