Four days of celebration of Virginia Satir and her theory and practice. Practical and updated information based on the teaching and application of the Satir Growth Model. Avanta members, practitioners and others will present on many different levels of the Satir Growth Model and the Satir Process. There will be workshops, breakouts, networking, and the Avanta bookstore. There will be something for everyone.

Where: Dumas Bay Centre, 3200 SW Dash Point Road, Federal Way, Washington . Dumas Bay Centre is located less than 25 miles south of SeaTac International Airport between Seattle and Tacoma. Guest are able to experience the tranquility and natural beauty of Puget Sound overlooking the Olympic Mountains.
 

Who: The conference is planned for a multidisciplinary audience and will cover personal as well as professional growth applicable to many disciplines. Everyone is invited to take part in this special celebration. Whether you are a practitioner, retired, a student, an educator, a counselor, or someone who is interested in learning and connecting you will find something for you. Come for a day or two or for the whole conference.

Activities:

Avanta Bookstore will be open during meals and free times. We will carry a full product line of the items we sale online.

Silent Auction to raise funds for Avanta Scholarship Fund.

Early Arrivals or Late Departures may want to visit Seattle or the surrounding Puget Sound area.
 

Lodging: Dumas Bay Center guest rooms are dormitory style with individual central showers. There are 42 single bed rooms with toilet , 15 rooms with twin beds with no toilet, and 8 double bed rooms with no toilet. All guest rooms have sinks. First come on rooms with toilets. There are no guest rooms available at Dumas Bay Center.
