Virginia Satir's Legacy of Peace and Potential"

"All my work and writings are towards this one aim: becoming more fully human....I make no apologies for moving in totally different ways and I hope to move those ways on a mass level." --Virginia Satir

Steven Channing, who is a film maker and who has produced several documentaries is producing a film about Virginia Satir and her ideas. His company Video Dialogue Inc. is currently premiering "February One: The Story of The Greensboro Four", documenting the first civil rights sit-ins. Important this documentary is scheduled for PBS national broadcasting in February 2005.

Diana Newton, an Avanta member, has her own consulting business and is very involved in this document.

Avanta is supporting the film with a grant as well as with information, videos, and other material. Steven and Diana were at the 2004 Annual Meeting and showed the initial track of the film.
