Message From Our President - Jean McLendon
Dear Avanta Members,
I am hoping that my letter will reach you, as well as past and future members. I am happy to report that our membership is growing. We are fortunate to have new members coming from diverse sectors and far away places. This is very encouraging.
We who are on the board, our staff and many others of you are working with great focus and vision for Avanta’s future. We believe that Avanta has an important role for our world and for each of us. In everything we do, we are seeking to build connections within our organization and between other Satir based communities. It is the connectivity between both those who are sharing and those who are requesting Satir teachings that we can mobilize a mass of energy sufficient to tip the planet toward congruence.
Though we all want to create a world of healthy relationships (Avanta’s mission) and though we all believe that Satir’s Human Validation Process Model provide a means, we will continue to see and seek different pathways. These differences allow all of us who are participants to learn important things about ourselves and to birth a change process that has integrity and sustainability.
Given our great commitment and passion we will not reach our goal without experiencing stress and our vulnerabilities. Most of us will lapse into periods of incongruence. I invite each of us to accept our humanness and our positive intent as we strive to give Avanta a healthy third birth.
On the following pages you will hear from most all of your board members about important activities for which they are providing leadership. I hope you will be as pleased as I am about our progress in preparing the Avanta ship to set sail towards true north.
We are entering a time of holidays here in America and in other areas of the world. On behalf of the board we wish you full awareness of the unique energy of your life force and the health for you to make deep connections. For those of you who are separated from love ones, we send you our love.
