Joyce Munschauer
has been diagnosed with cancer. She had
surgery April 6 to remove the cancerous tissue and begin chemotherapy.
However, we have learned from her son, Bruce Robinson, that the surgery was
shortened considerably due to finding what appears to be lymphoma in the
abdomen. They are waiting the results of pathology. Our prayers and thoughts
go to Joyce and her family. Contact the Avanta office for a mailing address
on Joyce. Read Joyce's letter of March 29th.
Jesse Adams
survived Katrina. He said "that their house
did not flood but had some minor problems, nothing worth complaining about.
They were evacuated to Oxford, MS and stayed three months. That was a
good experience as I have three children and five grandchildren who live
there. Nancy's daughter and her four sons came to Oxford also for the first
semester of school."
Maria Vittoria Serpini
sends everyone her love and best wishes for Easter.
Todd Embree has taken a new job for Catherine Freer Wilderness

month to Oregon.

memories the gift of you and your generosity, not only to me but for the
advancement of the vision and ideals of Virginia, as well. I keep you in my
prayers. Please extend my love and regards to Louise and to all our friends
in AVANTA

has been dealing with intense allergy reactions that have been hard to
control. Any of you who have experienced allergy reactions and specially the
"itchiness" that comes with it can understand how hard this is. Hugh has
taken some time off to try a new medicine. We also send him our love and
