Satir Growth Model - For purposes of this registry and in a brief form the Satir Growth Model "is the dynamic, humanistic, systems approach to growth. It integrates existing resources to transform and make realistic changes that go toward the empowerment, healing and growth of the individual and the healthy functioning of his or her system. This system can be family, professional, social or political." (A Resource Handbook for Satir Concepts by Johanna Schwab, 1990, p.3)

Satir Process - The Satir Process involves carrying out the beliefs of the model through six core skill sets: making contact, validating, facilitating awareness, promoting acceptance, making changes and reinforcing changes. (The Satir Process by Sharon Loeschen, 2002, p.9)
